Presentations

Presentations can be found in your course software located in the top right corner. You can go to a different topic by clicking on the topic number in the white box at the top and entering the number of the topic you would like to jump to. Click on the + and – buttons to move to the next slide in that topic. Click the play button at the top of the presentations window to listen to the presentation. You can also read the caption of that slide at the bottom of the window.

Readings

Readings can be found on the main page in the course Table of Contents. Scroll down and click on the Reading link you would like to view. You can adjust the font size on the left hand side by using the + and – buttons next to ‘Font Size’ as well as change the font. The News and Events section on the left hand size should say No News Currently Available, or it will have news and updates from your professor.

Assessment

The Assessment window will be used for all online assignments, practice work and exams. To access the Assessment window click ‘Assessment’ in the top right corner of the software. For more instructions about the Assessment window read/watch the Assessment Window section.

Open your courseware and click on ‘Assessment’ in the top right corner. The assessment window is where all Faulkner Press assignments will be completed. In the white drop down menu you can select whether you are doing a practice topic or an online graded exam. Refer to your course syllabus for questions regarding deadlines and due dates.

Types of Assessment

1. If you are doing practice work, select the topic you would like to complete then click start. The topic will immediately begin, in order to close the assessment window you will need to answer all questions in that topic. Practice work is based on completion. In order to receive 100% for a topic you will need to have 0 items remaining. ‘Items remaining’ is located at the top of the assessment window. Practice work is submitted manually, for step-by-step instructions on submitting practice work watch/read the ‘Send Practice Work’ video/instructions. Help articles are located on the Help page.


2. If you are taking a graded online exam, test, or assignment select ‘Graded Online’ in the white drop menu and select the exam or assignment you are taking and click start. You will be required to input a three-letter code to begin the assignment, three-letter test codes are provided by your professor. The rest of the code will automatically fill in, click start to begin the exam. Exams are timed, once all questions are answered or time runs out the exam click submit to send the score to your online account. Always check your online Faulkner Press account to confirm the submission was successful.
